Every year we receive a lot of phone calls or
emails from people asking to buy hives or parts of them. We also
have to replace some of our own hives and order new boxes, frames and
foundations for our own use. So why not ordering more and selling
the extras at competitive prices to other fellow beekeepers?
We only sell what we use so we know it is good
quality. All the equipments are sold
unassembled, nails, glue and paint are not included.
Solid bottom board
This is a standard, well-constructed,
reversible bottom board. It is made of
tongue-and-groove and has a 3/4" entrance height for cold
months and a 3/8" entrance height for active months.
Screened bottom board
Designed to be versatile and easy to use;
this bottom board is a stand alone. No other bottom
boards are needed. An 1/8" mesh screen covers the
entire floor allowing for the greatest ventilation and mite
drop. You can choose between a 3/8" or a 3/4" entrance
height.
A white
vinyl-coated masonite tray is included. It slips in the back on a track
below the screen for easy mite count.
Brood chamber 91/2"
Deep hive bodies or Brood chambers are
made with finger joints for better sturdiness. They have
5/8" frame rests. The uppercut handles are deep
profiled, allowing the water to run off and providing an
easy grip. Deep Hive Bodies are 9 1/2" deep.
Medium super 6 5/8"
Medium supers (also called Midwestern or
Illinois) are made with finger joints for better sturdiness.
They have 5/8" frame rests. The uppercut handles are
deep profiled, allowing the water to run off and providing
an easy grip. Medium supers are 6 5/8" deep.
Inner cover
Standard raised-panel style with 1/8"
recess on one side, to limit bur-comb building, and 3/8" on the other
side, to allow the bees to access honey during cold days. Corners are
tenoned and plywood is 1/4" Luann with the standard cutout
in the center for a bee escape.
Telescoping cover

A 3 inch wide skirt with rabbeted
corners makes these lids heavier and harder to blow off.
3/8" plywood with a cover of .019 white aluminum forms a
weatherproofing top. This aluminum is pre bent with
a 1" drop on the sides and overlapping tabs on the
corners to prevent leaking.
Frames
Standard wedged top bar frames
are available in 9 1/8" (deep), and 6 1/4" (medium) with
grooved bottom bars.
6.1/2" Beeswax Foundation
Crimp-Wired Beeswax foundation for Medium (western) frame.
To reinforce the
strength during the extracting process, we recommend adding support pins horizontally after placing the hooks
under the wedge of the top bar.
8 1/2" Beeswax Foundation

No
Anchors are necessary for foundation used for brood comb.
However, we recommend adding support pins horizontally
after placing the foundation in its support frame.
Wooden top feeder
Our top feeders are perfectly tight and do not leak.
They
come with a pair of wooden floats or with a screen. To
ensure proper sealing we recommend painting your
feeder with two or three coats of urethane varnish.
Beehive stand
Our heavy duty hive stand is built to
support the weight of full supers. the 4x6X12" feet make it
stable on most type of grounds and the hive is high enough to
provide a good ventilation under the bottom board.
